hey Cate! Thanks for the info about Cairns and sorry I was mislead into believing it is the capital of Queensland. Hope I didn't offend you in any way saying the towns were small, it was definitely an observation not a criticism! I had expected Australia to be like America and the UK - packed full of people so I was very surprised by how quiet it was compared to the "big" cities in the UK and USA. Didn't get chance to go to Brisbane but did venture as far as Townsville and the Whitsundays - beautiful! I just wish we had had longer to visit some more gorgeous places. Lucky you living there!
