project life | weeks 3 & 4

I dwelled on these weeks for ages, not really sure how I was going to create my inserts, not really sure if I wanted to continue, not really sure about the whole project.

The recipe for the pound cake was too big for the card, so I followed this tutorial for making QR codes. I'm using the Project Life Baby Edition digitals, because I think they mix better with the seafoam edition.

I handed Douglas my phone when we were driving back from the beach, and said "take photos of our trip", and then didn't know how to put them together. I knew I wanted to include the report from hospital in week 6, so decided to just print the photos on one A4 page. I haven't shown Douglas yet, but I think he will be happy.

Another QR code, to the blog post I wrote recapping our journey. And a cute quote from Riley (although it's not the original location of quote, he thought it was awesome he was being allowed to jump in puddles again!) The insert (not photographed) is a copy of the report from the hospital about our visit (speaking to the genetic counsellor, what the sonographer saw, what our options were, etc.)

I'm slowly editing photos from weeks 5 & 6, thinking about whether to continue 1 page spreads and inserts, or stretch myself to double page spreads. If that's the biggest decision I have to make, then this is working for me, I think!

    1. Thanks, Melissa - I'll have to show him today, so he knows its important for our story! And maybe I'll let them loose with cameras more regularly!

  4. I love Riley's comment! I can see that it must take quite a bit of work, but it sounds as if the family is getting involved too - perhaps that will share the load? Hoping all is going well for you ...
