Hello Monday

hello, graduation week. Chloe finishes Year 12 this week. I'm feeling a whole heap of emotions right now, and I'm guessing she is too. Chloe, no matter what has happened in the past, or what happens in the future, know this - nothing will change the fact that you are my first-born child, the one who made me a mum. I am so proud of you this week, for sticking to your path, even in the face of adversity. It would have been so easy for you to quit, but you stuck it out. Enjoy the next part of the journey.

hello, iron tablets. It occurred to me last night that it's been just over 3 years since I went to donate blood and discovered that I was anaemic again. And I never did have the tests the doctor sent me for because I discovered I was pregnant a couple of days before. And I haven't been back to the doctor for tests since Sophie was born. But I know that I'm struggling at the moment, with motivation and energy. So I'll take some iron tablets for a few weeks, and visit the doctor for some help getting it all sorted.

hello, birthday cake. Well, birthday cheesecake. Douglas turns 14 this week. That means present shopping, and cake baking, and candle blowing. And lots of photos.

hello, card making. It's time to start making my Christmas cards. There's a few steps involved in the process, and they can't all be done at once, so I'll batch them one step at a time. [I love sending cards, and would love to add you to my list! Fill in this form if you'd love to get a card from me.]

hello, Monday, a new start every week.

  1. I'm saying hello to one crazy busy week before my eldest daughter's surgery next Monday. I'm wanting to clear my schedule for a few weeks, so I can just be here for her.

  4. What a special week, with your girl graduating! Does she have her formal this week too? And yes, do go get those iron levels checked - living with anemia is no fun. I posted about it here: http://www.middleagedmama.com.au/living-with-low-iron-levels/.

    1. her school had their formal in July. I like that idea much better, to have them separate (my school did the same all those years ago)

Hope you are feeling better soon. I started taking nettle tea/capsules and Astragalus capsules recently and they worked wonders for me x

  7. Cheesecake ... sorry, I got stuck on CHEESECAKE! Yum!
My sister was just reminising about the fact that it is now 1yr since she graduated. How her life has changed. I hope your daughter enjoys all the festivities and that she takes to world with both hands and enjoys it. That reminds me I should maybe start on making Christmas cards and maybe the calendar for family too. I really should go for a health check ... I hope you are feeling full of energy soon.
