Hello Monday

Today's prompt say hello to Monday. This week, I'd like you to set a goal to finish something you've been putting off, and outline all the steps you need to take to achieve the goal by Friday. Don't forget, small steps make it less overwhelming.
hello, curtains. These have been on my list for a month now. But it's one of those things that is really easy to move to the bottom of the pile in favour of other things. This week I'm going to get them done, though.
  • clear the big table downstairs (currently covered in craft material for kids)
  • move sewing machine downstairs
  • cut fabric if needed
  • iron hems
  • sew hems
  • sew pockets
  • hang
It's not a big task if it's done in batches. But it's finding the balance between getting stuff done and being interrupted by children every five minutes that I struggle with.

hello, new playground. I visited a couple of playgrounds last week for some articles I've written, and found some changes to one of our favourites. Then I realised just how long it's been since we were there, so it's on our list to visit this week.

hello, baking. Lunch boxes are empty again, as one fussy child after another decided they don't want this, they don't want that. I need to do a bit of baking to top them up.

hello, long week ahead. Steve worked all weekend, and will be working again next weekend (this job doesn't involve weekend work, normally)

Tomorrow's prompt  write a letter to someone. It's Chloe's birthday today, so I'm going to write my annual letter to her. Is there someone in your life you need to write to?

  2. You're right, the best way to do a big project is to break it down into small chunks. Here's to seeing those finished curtains! You've told us all about it - now you HAVE to do it!

  3. Yes, can't wait to see your curtains! I'm trying to break my project down into small chunks too. Hopefully I'll manage to complete it.

  4. I remember my own curtain project... once you actually start you wonder why you waited so long!
