Hello Monday

hello school paperwork Sophie is four at the end of this month. I know. That means she's heading off to school next year, so it's finally time to fill out the paperwork, and get her into the system.

hello work experience Next week, Douglas heads off for a week of work experience at a cabinetry business. Early mornings, early finishes, and mum taxi will be in full swing for a week, and he'll learn about working without mum and dad as a back up. Fingers crossed it's an eye opening experience for him.

hello sewing machine A couple of weeks ago I mentioned that I was going to sew some coats for the dogs. I finally got around to it yesterday, and loved the time to get reacquainted with my machine. It reminded me that I still have a quilt waiting to be finished from last year's craft retreat, and that I've got so many other things on my to-sew list that I really need to make it a more regular occurrence.

hello inspiration Last night I flicked back through my bullet journal for the year. I was reminded of the random tangents I explore, the things I learn, and was so inspired and full of ideas. For the first time ever, I'm going to fill my journal before the year ends, because I've filled it with so many random notes (and recipes.) Now to figure out how to use all that inspiration.

hello Monday, a new start every week.

  1. I used to help run the work experience system at our school and one of the main things that the girls said, every year, was how tired they were at the end of the day! It's a great learning curve and I do hope that he gets a good positive experience wherever he goes. It will be interesting to see how he reacts in a non-school, non-home environment!
Sophie cannot possibly be four! Where has that time gone? She seems to have gone from baby to pre-schooler in the blink of an eye. Whatever will you do with all your time when she is at school all day ;-)
