make Christmas scrap gifts?

I read somewhere a discussion about this very question (I think it might have been that horrible board that we all hate)... or at least, I read the posed question, didn't look at the answers, cause I think the women who post there are none-too-pleasant.

Do you think the gifts are well-received? I mean, grandparents are used to getting homemade gifts from the grandkids, and in most instances, they are loved, but would you give your best friends neighbours aunt a scrap gift, or would you just keep them to family, who will appreciate them more?
