Do you enjoy challenges? I know that quite often they are the basis for my LO's, so I spend a lot of time playing in cybercrops at various different forums, and sometimes have a go at monthly challenges through different blogs (I love the look of colorstory, down there in my links, and this is me looks great, too - although I have yet to complete any of them!!)
So, over at scraptherapy we do blind challenges - the host gives us instructions step by step to create a LO, without photos!! It's amazing how different they all end up looking, and they are usually so simple that Chloe plays along as well (although she quite often ends up with a LO that looks like mine - but we'll stop her looking at mine this month!)
I actually scrapped two pages over the weekend - one for a challenge for the March cybercrop at therapy, and the other was a just because LO that I did with one of the February kits from LSBS. It's this LO that I though would be a great basis for a blind challenge here on my blog. I love what I came up with, even though it's really simple, and I thought it would be fun to see what others could do if I did it blindly!! And - there's a prize in it, too!!
So, here's the list of what you'll need to have a go at this LO:
4 co-ordinating pp (I used this kit)
2 co-ordinating cs
2 co-ordinating ribbon at least 10cm
paperclip type embellishment
alpha
pen for doodling
1 photo (I used 5x7, but you could use 4x6)
Instruction:
- choose one cs as base
- cut one pp 10x8, attach to base
- cut one pp 9x4, attach to left side
- cut one pp 8x4, attach to the left side bottom
- cut one pp 8x2, attach to the right side
- mat photo with a thin border, attach so it touches the right and bottom strips
- title along bottom strip, include numbers
- attach paperclip to right corner of photo
- attach ribbon to same area
- doodle border on base cs
- doodle border on 8x2 strip
Email me your LO by Good Friday, March 21st, and I'll display them here, and set up a poll for voting from March 24th to March 30th. I'll go raid my stash for some aewsome goodies as a prize, and put a photo up of them tomorrow.
Happy scrapping!
