I had some crazy idea while I was pregnant that I would create an album similar to the one I created as a baby shower gift for an online mummy friend. I was going to use Basic Grey's Lime Ricky paper, and proceeded to buy a large stash of it, along with matching Bazzill cardstock (which had to be specially ordered in for me) It's all sitting together in a pizza box in my scraproom... waiting.
I also randomly had the idea when he was about two months old to share monthly updates on my blog, and tagged them "I will scrapbook this", so every time I tagged a post I was reminded of my desire to actually create an album for this precious bundle of boy.

So, I'm taking the photos from the blog posts (and now that I'm playing with actions I may or may not edit them...) and pairing it with the words from the post in a 4x6 photo album. I'm using the flyin high digital set that I'm using for his first birthday (I emailed Elise Hansen last week - the kit doesn't have any red or yellow pages in it, but lots of red and yellow elements, so I asked for some red and yellow paper, and she obliged, and made a couple for me!)

I'm not sure now if I am ever going to finish, or even start, my original album idea. Maybe putting it together will inspire me to get back into playing with paper (because every time I work on something, I do enjoy the process)
Oh Cate you so have to do the album! What great photos of the little man & the album will be so special & you know it!! xx

ReplyDeleteFunny how plans change as the design process goes along. I love the photos and the monthly updates on Riley. I would love to see you put all these into an album!
