less pinterest, more do

I don't know how the last few days slipped away without me posting here. Now that the kids are back at school, I can start getting back to a better routine.

chai-spiced gingerbread slice

I'm not 100% sure about this slice. I'm going to give it another go with a mix of whole wheat and white flour, and grinding the tea leaves, because it has a grainy texture that takes over. Other than that, it was well-recieved at the crop on Saturday night.

bacon-stuffed roast potatoes
I'm kind-of new to the idea of eating bacon with everything, but bacon and potato is a nice combination, so I thought I'd give it a try. But I won't make them again. Too much work for something that wasn't well-recieved by the kids, although Steve and I both enjoyed it.

washi tape as calendar marking
I thought this was an absolutely awesome idea when I saw it, so knew I would use it when I put a binder together last week. I'm hoping that having everything in one place, instead of ten different books, will help me keep my thoughts gathered. I'll still use my clipboard for the day to day stuff, so this will be like a command binder.

  1. The bacon stuffed potatoes sound pretty good, I might give those a try for hubby and I this week! I made a chocolate ganache layer cake from a Pin recipe last weekend but forgot to add a photo to my blog :( Pinterest does tend to suck up a lot of time doesn't it? hehe Sooo many amazing things out there to look at and long for!
