Hello Monday

hello, crafting. It's Book Week parade week. I've known about it for weeks. But some people haven't even decided what they want to dress up as yet, so I've been procrastinating. Hoping I can pull together something quickly (and cheaply.) In other news, I have actually written a crafty post for And Sew We Craft. It's been a while, but a quick 20min craft (and an easily accessible sewing machine) makes it so much easier.

hello, warmer weather. Rain is forecast for this week, but the days are getting warmer already - we had the airconditioner on a couple of times over the weekend just to get stuffy air moving around.

hello, music. As I turned on the music channel on the tv a couple of weeks ago, I realised we never had music in the house any more (whereas I had a radio in the kitchen that was always on when Chloe was growing up) Steve had been given a big stereo system by his sister a couple of months ago that sat in the shed gathering more dust, so he finally set it up yesterday. Now I'm glad we've kept those CDs all these years.

hello, birthday party planning. We haven't had many birthday parties here, mostly for financial reasons, but we try to have a party in the first year of school. That means it's time to start planning for Riley's party next month. He thinks he wants a football cake (even though he's never played a game), but I'm thinking a minecraft theme.

hello, Monday, a new start every week.

Linking up with Eva, Kirsty and Alicia.

  1. I was playing catch up on the weekend, so I don't really feel like it is Monday.

  2. You made me realise I rarely have music on any more either when I used to listen to it all the time. Although I'd probably have to listen to it with headphones on rather than compete with the constant sound of ABC kids coming from the tv.

  3. I'm the same with music playing in the house - why don't I play it anymore? I'm sure the pugs would love to dance around to Jamiroquai with me - when i can dance again that is!!!! Meanwhile I'm jealous of your warmth while we are cool and rainy here in NSW - come on Spring!!!

  4. I've started listening to the radio in the kitchen lately and the telly is on less. It's really lifted my moods too, with more singing and dancing going on.
Izzys been sick and it looks like she will miss out on book week if she doesn't improve. I was looking forward to it, even though she wanted to wear her Cinderella costume, at least it was a book and not just a movie!

  5. I quite like the sound of silence if I am ever lucky enough to experience it...but I am thinking that we need a little bit more music...maybe it will motivate us for weekend cleaning sessions!!!
