Hello Monday

hello cooler weather it's cooled down so much, we actually had to turn the air conditioner off over the weekend.

hello nap time Sophie hasn't been the best day sleeper, but neither were Riley or Natalie. But I've noticed since she started daycare that if I can keep her awake until lunch time, she can have up to 2 hours sleep. (She's currently asleep, so keeping her awake obviously only works on weekends at the moment)

hello playground tying in with nap times is playground visits. Last week on the way home from the supermarket, I randomly decided to stop at the park up the hill from home. We were the only ones there, and Sophie loved running from the slides to the swing and back again. I think we need to do more of that stuff.

hello plastics drawer It's been on my to-do list for a very long time. It's getting harder and harder to find lids for things, so I'll have to sort it this week.

hello quilt for Sophie I started working on this quilt back when I used to go to a weekly craft group, before Sophie even turned one. It's just waiting for binding, but with money so tight at the moment, I've realised that I just need to get it finished the best way I can, instead of waiting to buy more fabric for the binding.

hello Monday, a new start every week

  1. aaah don't remind me about the Tupperware cupboard. It's on my to do list as well. We are moving soon so I should really get it sorted. The cooler weather has been lovely too! Can't stand the heat.

  2. My kids all dropped their day time sleep really early so by 7pm, they were so exhausted and slept well. My time then.

  3. Our air con has gone off and we are even sleeping at night without it. I've just started work in daycare and they tend to go down for around 2hrs after their lunch. Seems to work well and is probably why she is latching onto the habit. I have some quilts to finish too. One of them I plan on binding with scraps of the fabrics all sewn together. My Grandmother does that for scrap quilts. Enjoy your week and the cooler weather.

  4. Hoping you find the cooler weather comfortable and that you and Sophie enjoy your outings together. Wearing them out is always a good ploy for sleep later! And looking forward to more news about the quilt - stitching bits of assorted odds and ends of fabric together to make an edging sounds like a do-able plan.

  5. I am sure the 'unique' binding will make her quilt all that more special. I have bound a quilt before with left over bits and pieces. Our air conditioner hasn't been on cool for a while now, it's on heat most mornings! Our school holidays have started this week, so playground visits are on the cards.

  6. I honestly can't wait to see the back of this week. I just have far too much on and I just want some decent time off while the girls are on school holidays and hubby is back from sea.
