a shopping trip and LOs

My LSS isn't really that close to me - in fact, there are two shops closer - but I love it, cause Cheryl has got the customer service thing down just right, and she's happy to have Nat in the store, too! On Saturday, she decided she needed to start making room for all the yummys coming in from CHA, so every sheet of paper (with a couple of exceptions - BG two scoops, MM noteworthy, and something else) was only $1. That's right, $1 a sheet!! So, I went a little bit silly, and bought 84 sheets of paper!! And only 1 double up!!

The piles of paper are each different manufacturer - from American Crafts and Doodlebug, which I love, to We R Memory Keepers and Around the Block which I have never seen before, I got an amazing selection of papers!! TWENTY TWO different manufacturers!! The only double up is the Doodlebug paisley in the bottom right of the photo - it's purple and orange, and has an awesome stripe paper that matches it - and over the weekend at therapy they had a step-by-step bonanza, uploading heaps of step-by-step classes, so I have plenty of work to do this month, as well as getting ready for Nat's first birthday party on March 16th (her birthday is the 7th, but Chloe has an access visit with her dad that weekend, so we delayed the party!)

Last Wednesday evening saw the monthly blind scrapping challenge over at therapy - and this is what we ended up with (mine is above, Chloe's is below) The idea is to follow the instructions to create a LO, without any photos to follow along with! Everyone has the same instructions, but I don't think there is a single LO in the gallery that looks the same! And I was actually quite comfortable cutting into that 3 bugs rhapsody paper, even though it has been stashed for the better part of a year!!

There's not much else happening here at the moment... I had a practice run at Nat's cake yesterday, although I had to halve the recipe, and the real one will be doubled... fingers crossed it turns out just as well on the day!! The backyard is slowly being tidied up - it needs to be, there will be 60-odd people hanging out there in less than two weeks...
