one foot in front of the other

After last week's post, I took some time out. Not on purpose, mostly because I couldn't get the energy up to figure out why the words running around in my head kept appearing, so I focused on making them disappear.

While I was chatting with Caitlin as we crafted last Thursday, I said something that surprised me (in the way that unvoiced thoughts often come pouring out at just the time that you need to be reminded of them) "I'm not giving up if I miss a day" I said, "it's just a bad day, not a bad life"

I've mentioned many, many times that I'm an excuse maker. That fear of rejection shows it's ugly head and excuses pour out of my mouth, but something seems to have clicked in the last week, and I keep putting one foot in front of the other.

  1. It is just one step at a time :D Excuses don't solve things but if you can work out why you need to keep making excuses things really start to work out.

  2. I meant to come back and comment on last week's post, but having checked back obviously I didn't.....so glad that you are takinG the 'one day at a time ' approach...you do an incredible job with your growing family. You are a devoted mum, and that takes its toll ....keep breathing, put one foot In front of the other and take some time to recharge those batteries as and when you can......hugs xx

  3. I love that quote!! I do like the one day at a time approach - it's where I'm at right now with my healthy living/weight loss goals as I just can't seem to get it together! Hope you are having a lovely week! We're iced in here in Texas & I'm taking advantage of a day in my craft room to scrapbook and catch up on blog reading.
