hello, second week of school holidays. We're surviving so far. A busy weekend of cleaning and sorting boxes [again] means we're all set to face the week with a clean house and weary bodies, so a trip to the beach was in order again this morning. A perfect way to start the week, I think.
hello, October. Halloween and warm weather and jacarandas and almost Christmas make October an exciting and busy month.
hello, baking. I'm not nearly as far along with baking cookies as I thought I would be. And everyone keeps eating them! But I'm enjoying the challenge of baking, converting recipes, trying new things, and having a project.
hello, Christmas. Only 12 Saturdays left. Or 88 sleeps. But I haven't thought any further ahead than knowing how many days are left. Maybe I should? When do you start planning for Christmas?
hello, Monday, a new start every week.
You may think that you haven't planned for Christmas but I know that you really start planning on December 26th every year. hahaha
ReplyDeleteI don't want to know about christmas. I have absolutely no presents, no planning and no idea. Trying to put it off as long as possible - let's see how long I can hold out!!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you are bringing up the C word already... Argh
ReplyDeleteI have bought my first few Christmas presents over the weekend!! Xx
ReplyDeleteI start telling people there are "X" number of months until Christmas on January 25 each year.
ReplyDeleteI love this time of the year! I love that Christmas is only 88 sleeps away & that term 4 is nearly upon us at school. Although I lack so much motivation as the school year ends, is it holiday time already?? LOL. Enjoy your week! x
ReplyDeleteThere seemed to be a mish mash of Christmas and Halloween in the shop the other day. Halloween I wish they would stop pushing and Christmas already, didn't we just have that. I'll probably save the 'getting organised' part until sometime in December.
ReplyDeleteThe beach looks lovely.
Oh no to the whole Christmas thing. Where has the year gone?
ReplyDeleteThe kids were very excited to see santa choccies in the supermarket. My mouth just about hit the floor. But, 87 sleeps! I am never onto Christmas until a couple of weeks before! I do love to put the tree up though in mid November. You should look for my painted Christmas biscuits, might be one for the kids to help with. Maybe change them into Halloween painted biscuits :)
ReplyDeleteOur family keeps Christmas very low-key: we aren't into gift giving (except gifts for our kids) or Christmas parties etc....so Christmas is always a stress-free and enjoyable event for us. I haven't therefore started even thinking about it :)
ReplyDeleteThat would mean 89 days until boxing day which is one of my fave days of the year!!
