Hello Monday

Inside - Hello Monday is a semi-regular post where I flip Mondayitis on it's head, welcoming the new week by sharing my plans and goals and ideas for the week ahead.

hello term 3 Two weeks school holidays felt much longer. It rained, the weather is much cooler than expected, no one felt the energy to do anything but staying home too much lead to boredom and bickering. This morning was just a big sigh of relief  and routine for all.

hello aromatic dressing I joined in a challenge to start using my essential oils daily. Aromatic dressing is the practise of intuitively choosing oils and adding them to your daily moisturiser routine, therefore aromatically dressing yourself

hello scrapbooking With the kids back at school I have no excuses in my head to not scrapbook. Taking the time to create before I get stuck into anything else each days has really helped increase my productivity, and if I get nothing else done each day, I know that I have achieved something simply by capturing our memories for future generations.

hello baking I had one of those "I loved making it, but the kids hated eating it" failures over the weekend, so I need to redeem myself by whipping up something I know thy will eat. This lemon crumble slice from BakePlaySmile is a hands down winner around here.

hello writing I had a light bulb moment last week when I realised that I've been trying to grow my blog into something following other people's paths, not mine. I'm terrible at the marketing side of blogging, but the content creation stuff flows easily. So I'm going to return to focusing on doing those things for me and for others, and see where it takes me.

hello planning A renewed focus means new plans and goals for the rest of this year. Although if I'm honest, that's just giving my head an excuse to not finish something and then not follow through, with visions of getting to November and not bothering to start because it's almost a new year. Phew.

Maybe I should say instead

hello habits  If I really want to focus on writing, then I need to write. And I need to keep writing while I start pitching, and guest posting and writing newsletters and overcoming overwhelm... maybe I should just focus on writing for now.

  1. Sounds like a good plan! I need to get back in the blogging habit to, I used to blog so regularly and 'in theory' now I'm not working I should have more time to do that - so why is it that I never seem to find that time?
