Hello Monday

Inside - Hello Monday is a semi-regular series that welcomes the week ahead with goals, stories and ideas.

hello night shift. It's been a couple of years since Steve has worked night shift, but his current project is wrapping up around Brisbane and he was rostered on for it. Sophie was excited to wake him up when she left for school this morning (and it means I'll sleep better tonight, I like my quiet evenings without snoring!)

hello random spewing. I've had Riley home today with a random vomit episode. Of course, he was fine five minutes after I got home from school drop off, but he has enjoyed his quiet day of reading and TV watching (and tomorrow he's well enough to go to school)

hello westerlies. After a stupid-hot week last week, the weather has done an about face and we're back to needing jumpers and heaters. The jacaranda leaves are blowing into the laundry, and maybe we'll see some rain before too long.

hello procrastination. I've got just 12 days until I launch my Christmas planner, and today I've spent the day importing CDs into iTunes and packing them away into boxes. Because I've been procrastinating about putting the CDs into boxes for about 3 weeks now. I'll be back on track tomorrow.

hello music. Importing all those CDs has reminded me just how much I love music, especially if I get to sing along to it. It's time to get some music pumping, and show the kids some new sounds. (Can you believe they discovered The Beatles through Beat Bugs? How slack am I?!)

hello Monday, a new start every week.

  1. Knowing how much you love Christmas, I bet now you're up to date with the music project you'll keep on track of organising that planner!
Hope Riley is better soon and doesn't pass those germs onto anyone else.

  2. Hoping you will all be fit and well soon - and pumping away to all that music! I am afraid Christmas does not get thought about here for a few months yet ...
