A playlist for right now

We joined Spotify's family plan about a year ago.

I'd had an account for a couple of years prior, but never turned it on, mostly preferring to dive into my iTunes lists of old and new music.

us right now

he doesn't have a job {long story}

he left to "fill in" a run for his previous employer

he had an interview yesterday for a job, and was short-listed

he is looking forward to Easter at home with the family

she loves food

she crawls around the house calling for dad when he's not here

she has no interest in toys, but the plastics cupboard is awesome

she loves her siblings, except when they're rough

he is a cheeky fella

he loves daycare, and is excited to see his friends each day

he watches too much YouTube

he loves playing minecraft with his brother and sister

she has moved up to cub scouts, and loves it

she still cries if mum takes her to school

she is way too cheeky at times

she misses dad

he is organising a scout camp as his leadership project

he is learning to embroider (particularly long stitch) for a school project

he has almost finished primary school

he loves to build things with lego
she is struggling with overwhelm these school holidays

she is looking forward to some Easter baking tomorrow

she is hoping he gets a job that keeps him home more

she is missing her big girl

she takes my breath away

in her words
I am looking forward to finishing school. No matter how daunting this feels I actually can't wait because there will be so many other prospects there for me to try. It'll be wonderful.
If I had $100 dollars to spend I would buy books.
My favourite cake is red velvet, caramel mudcake, anything sweet really.

she is missed by everyone

around here all the children are sleeping

around here I'm reading World War Z by Max Brooks

around here I'm listening to Bonfire Heart by James Blunt

around here we finally replaced the dodgy battery in my car

5 {things right now} on friday

Thank you for all the support with the whole Chloe situation. I can't share more about it, mostly because I don't know any more, but it's also not the sort of story I want out on the internet. To be perfectly honest, it's the sort of situation where I am going to lose my daughter, and there's not a damn thing I can do about it.

I bought a pair of skinny legs jeans recently. My first-ever. They are super-trendy coloured jeans from Emerson at Big W. (I bought the burgundy, because the purple was too. big!) They feel beautiful to wear, nice and soft (I was asked if they were velvet), but jury's out on the skinny leg cut. Maybe getting some super-cute (and almost impossible to stand for long periods of time) ballet flats, instead of my tap-tappy black shoes, will change that feeling.

I was lucky enough to get my own iPad a couple of weeks ago. (The new iPad3 has awesome graphics!) I have always loved printing out class materials, but I'm also loving the flexibility of loading PDFs onto my iPad and reading them wherever I am. (I only figured out how to load PDFs onto Steve's iPad the week before I got mine. That's kind-of why I wanted to get one.)

The food at retreat last week was simply awesome! But would you believe, I was the only person photographing the food?! (except breakfasts, forgot the phone) Coming soon to a layout. (and I'm working on a retreat recap post for Sunday)

This girl has been sick this week. And she's home from school today for the second time. The weather is cooling down, and she's my asthma baby (Chloe is, too, but that's a whole other story.) Night coughs suck when they lead to vomitting.

What's on your mind right now?
