Myer Giftorium | Christmas Awesomeness

This is a sponsored post for Myer, in conjunction with Kids Business

If you've been a reader around here for any length of time, you know I'm a fan of Christmas! (My Christmas countdowns drive my mother mental!) So it was with great excitment that I accepted when I was invited to visit the Myer Giftorium, a new way of shopping for Christmas.

{mistake number one, we caught the train in to the city (with the wonderful Toni & Hayley for company)}

Myer has thought of everything to make Christmas easy - Gifticians to help customers choose the perfect presents, and the "All Wrapped Up" Christmas Gift Registry (someone else does the wrapping!). Producticians to provide demonstrations of products, as well as major brand demonstrations  - SodaStream, VistaPrint, Plumm wine glasses, Mr Men & Little Miss

{ooh, look, there's Kirsten from Kirsten and Co in the photo}

Dilmah Teas will be available for demonstration

Myer staff members have been sent off to train with Marvin and entertain kids while parents try to shop

{mistake two - Riley was so fascinated with these glowing fingers that we now have a set!}

There was a balloon man on the day

{mistake three was letting Riley keep two balloons}

And every weekend Myer Treat Street will be in the Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Perth stores - popcorn and whizz fizz went down well with Riley.

Riley had his face painted

{mistake number four}

There was an amazing treat table set up

{mistake five - my idea of a light lunch is different to everyone else's}

There was a help-yourself treat table

{mistake six - I didn't know it was there until it was nearly demolished}

Then we checked out all the awesome gift stations and decorations. Myer has made gift-giving easy to choose by grouping gifts into themes - Dapper Dad, Trendy Young Things (I saw the perfect gifts for Chloe), Foodie Fanatic (I'm wondering how I can drop hints for Steve), even Paws Corner for the pets in your life!

{ooh, look, there's Renee from Mummy Wife Me}

Sophie was especially happy when we found a quiet couch to sit on in front of the tv and she was finally allowed out of the pram, but she was more interested in dancing than having a feed and going to sleep!

Myer provided gift bags for all attendees. This personalised Little Miss print is all kinds of awesome (and tucked away in my craft room so grubby fingers don't touch)

I bought my first Salvos bear when Chloe was about 2; you can just imagine the fights over this cutie when I got him home!

I was also given a SodaStream Play. I've never owned a SodaStream before (we had a MerriMix growing up), so I confess I was feeling like a giddy school girl when Myer said they were giving us one to take home.

Then, through a strange twist of fate, I ended up lugging two SodaStreams home. On the train. Good thing Sophie loves her Ergo. (the second SodaStream was for Renee from NeeSay, who was busy with Mark Holden on the day, and couldn't attend)
Myer generously gave attendees a $50 voucher to spend on the day, so I had to get a set of those glow fingers. We haven't had a chance to play with them yet, but I've been nagged asked on an almost daily basis.

I loved the look of this small needle-felted ball, so I picked up a new ornament for this year's tree.

You'll have seen my daily tea cups if you follow my facebook page, who could go past yellow and birds!

And while I was browsing, I thought it was the perfect opportunity for a little ornament giveaway of my own, so I want you to tell me in the comments your biggest mistake when adventuring with kids.
