my intentions...

{a somewhat neat shot of my desk}

Welcome to my blog, and thank you for reading (and commenting, if you do!) If you're new here, you've probably found your way from Shimelle's "Blogging for Scrapbookers" (is there a funky new way to shorten that and make it sound cool? All I can come up with is "blogscrapping", and it doesn't make me sound like one of the cool kids!) There will be a couple of posts from me today (cause I've got cookies to share), but with an unwell bubba (he's got a snuffly nose, which is making it hard for him to feed and sleep - he's asleep beside me right now, that's why I can post!) I'm not sure how well I'll keep up with class this week.

So, the purpose of this post (which is my 353rd post since I started this blog, go me!) is for me to share my intentions about the class. If you know me from forums, or from this blog, or maybe I even have a friend or two out there who still reads, then you know I'm obsessed with online classes. In fact, I'm currently "taking" Ali Edwards' class over at BPS, and I "did" Me:TAV with Cathy Zielske at BPS and LSNED with Shimelle last month... but you'll note in that sentence all those talking marks "", because I start these things, and I follow along in the forums on a daily basis, and I download everything (kind of sucks that you won't be able to download the videos at BPS anymore!), and then nothing happens with the class! And twelve months later, I'll go back and review the class notes, and think that I can pick up where I left off (I did actually make some of the layouts for "My Freedom", and "There's No Place Like Home", and even did two pages of JYC last year!), but nothing happens.

My intentions for this class are to be active in the forum, try and read each blog update (thanks for introducing me to google reader, I may even be able to figure out how to add stuff myself now!), occasionally comment on posts, and TRY to post on my blog each day. I'm a realist, and don't expect to be creating any pages for my album, that way if I manage to create, it's a bonus! (remember, I've only created 4 pages since January, so it's going to be slow getting back into the swing of things)

Okay, this has now taken an hour to type, between feeding two bubbas, changing nappies, dressing toddlers, filling breakfast bowls, breaking up fights with big kids, making myself a cup of tea (cause I don't expect a shower any time soon) I'm now typing one handed... off to drink that tea before it gets cold!

  7. I am not obsessed with taking classes but I do have problem with finishing what I start. I am going to go back and ADD that as a goal for this class. Thanks for the prompt and good luck with your goals.

  11. I'm also taking Yesterday + Today and Blogging for Scrapbookers. I definitely have trouble with follow through. I know if I don't get it done during the class, then I will never finish it. Good luck!
