the countdown is on to LOAD

Layout-a-day starts on May 1st. I'm excited, but nervous at the same time. I'm excited, because I know that I can finish the month with 31 new layouts in my albums, but nervous because I have only created one layout since February!

Yes, I know I said I was going to scrap every day during March. I took Karen Grunberg's "Finding your Way" class during March and April, and it reinforced a lot of the things I learned during LOAD (but will need to remind myself of them during May), but life got in the way, and I allowed myself to not make the effort, and once I started not-creating, it was easy to keep not-creating.

So during the next couple of days I'm going to be shuffling papers and alphabets and photos and embellishments on my desk, trying to make a workable space for Sunday morning. And I need to pack my tote for a crop on Saturday night - my first real application of the things I have learnt about my scrapbooking style.

And I'll be reminding the family that I will be scrapping every day, and working on ideas to keep the momentum going once the month is over.
