Hello Monday

Inside - Hello Monday is a semi-regular series where I share goals, plans, ideas, and hopes for embracing Monday, instead of letting it drag me down.

hello clothes dryer.

All this wet weather has somehow caused the kids to use every towel in the house over the weekend. So the clothes dryer is running flat out today to get everything dry. [but yay for rain, hope the farmers are getting some, even if it isn't drought breaking yet!]

hello guest posting.

With the approach of Christmas (it's just 71 days away, people!) I decided I needed to get out into more people's faces, and start guest posting, and explain why planning for Christmas is so powerful. I've got a huge list of people I'm writing for over the coming weeks, starting with one today over at Love From Mim

hello committee.

I put my hand up last week to become the treasurer for our school p&c committee. That means remembering how to use MYOB (or learning how to use Xero), dealing with rules and book keeping, and differences of opinion, and generally giving up free time to spend at school fundraising. I'm excited to be involved again, and a little cautious, too.

hello facebook groups.

It's rare these days to find people who aren't in eleventy-three groups (although they still exist), but just because a group exists doesn't mean it's a valuable group. Some of the most valuable groups I'm part of include Mums With Hustle Biz Club, Mums Who Cook & Bake, Money & Happy, Support for Mums of Older Kids. (and extra plug for Toni's new group Finding Play Ideas)

hello recipe sharing.

The school p&c decided to make a cookbook as part of their fundraising this year. It seems that lots of people have favourite recipes for baking and sweets that they want to share, but few have favourite meal ideas. Maybe I'm not the only person who likes to bake instead of cook?!

Hello, Monday, a new start every week.

How are you welcoming Monday?

  1. You sound like you've been really busy - but with a good balance of interesting things to do. You belong to a lot more FB groups than I do - I seem to be whittling mine down to next to none these days.

  2. HELLO! Haha. I was just thinking exactly this about Facebook Groups the other day. So many of them and so few offering genuine value anymore. It's just one pitch after another (I'm in business/social media type groups mostly). But I've found a couple that I really enjoy and it's been great.

  3. That sounds great, cook books and guest posting too. I know you are a fan of Christmas and there sure are plenty of reminders in the shops!!
Thank you for joining #lifethisweek. Next week's optional prompt is Easy Meal Ideas. Denyse
